Water bottle
I recommend a sipper bottle that is installed on the outside of the cage (to save space).
I also recommend that the mouth of the bottle is closed with a small ball valve. When the hamster drinks, the ball is pushed inside, making water available.
The disadvantage of drinking bottles without the ball is that the drinking tube becomes clogged with calcium salts, especially with hard tap water, and the hamster either does not get enough water or gets none at all.
Do not forget to make sure that the water bottle is functioning and to clean it regularly
You can also use bottled water to avoid the chlorine
It is unnecessary to buy vitamin drinks if you follow the advice for a healthy diet. Also, too much vitamins can hurt your hamster. Vitamin C is an acid & can acidify urine when there is too much of it while too much Vitamin D leads to metabolic disturbances.
Do not offer water in a saucer or dish as soiling will occur. Anyways, hamsters are not used to drinking that way
